GENERAL
AIRPORT
  • ELEVATION 23 FT AMSL
  • OPERATING HOURS H24 UTC+9
USE OF SID/STAR
  • If unable to comply with any restrictions depicted on SID or STAR, pilot shall notify ATC as early as possible.
  • ATC will instruct aircraft to cancel or comply the level or speed to eliminate safety risk due to a mismatch between ATC and pilot using the phraseology: “Cancel <Level/Speed> Restrictions” or “Comply with <Level/Speed> Restrictions” respectively at all times
USE OF MODE C (TX IN ALTITUDE) TRANSPONDER ON THE GROUND
  • All operators having aircraft equipped with Mode C transponders shall operate Mode C when aircraft are on the ground.
    • On departure: Select mode C prior to pushback or taxiing from a parking stand.
    • On arrival: Until the aircraft is stationary at a parking stand, do not select mode OFF or STBY.
USE OF TRANSFER OF CONTROL POINT (TCP)
  • Transfer of Control Point (“TCP”) is a defined point located in the ground of Incheon Airport where the aircraft is transferred from Incheon Apron to Incheon Ground and vice versa
    • The locations and identifiers of TCPs can be found at <<here>>.
    • The Incheon Ground or Apron controller will guide the pilot to TCP (identified as W, E, Y or T preceded by a number, such as 1Y or 5E). Thereafter, you will be transferred to another controller at or before TCP and the controller will continue your taxi with a specific route.
    • DO NOT taxi beyond the TCP without any clearance from Incheon Ground, Tower, or your succeeding controller.
ARRIVALS
EXPECTED RUNWAY
  • PAX ACFT: RWY 34L/16R
  • FRTR ACFT: RWY 33R/15L
ARRIVAL
  • SPEED AND ALTITUDE RESTRICTIONS:
    • All aircraft shall not exceed 250 kt IAS below 10,000 ft in Seoul TMA without authorization by ATC. If unable to comply with this restriction, state minimum speed acceptable to ATC.
    • Maintain minimum speed 160 kt before 5 NM, 180 kt before 8 NM from runway during ILS APCH.
    • ATC will notify with“Resume normal speed”phraseology to remove the speed restriction issued by ATC and a pilot can resume an aircraft’s preferred speed. Pilot shall note that it does not mean the removal of MAX 250 kt IAS within SEOUL TMA.
  • CONTINUOUS DESCENT OPERATION (CDO) PROCEDURE
    • The Continuous Descent Operation (CDO) are in place for all aircraft flying on Y644, Y722, G585 (Y685) and G597 (Y697) arriving RWY 33LR, 34LR at 14z~19z with STAR BIKSI2M, CUN2M, MAKSA2M, GONAV3M procedures。
      • If ATC instructs the aircraft with“<Callsign>, Cleared <CDO STAR> arrival. Descend via STAR to <Altitude>.” phraseology, pilot should descend on Top of Descent (TOD) with complying altitude restrictions listed on the chart.
      • Pilot should report ATC when leaving the altitude of the Top of Descent (TOD) with “<Incheon/Daegu> Control, <Callsign>, Now leaving”
  • INITIAL CALL WITH SEOUL APPROACH
    • When instructed to ‘’CONTACT Seoul Approach’’, pilot shall Squawk IDENT and report callsign, aircraft type and ATIS code.
    • When instructed to‘’MONITOR or STAND BY FOR Seoul Approach’’, pilot shall Squawk IDENT and keep silent until ATC initiates call
CAUTION
  • Do not vacate RWY 33R/15L via C2 and C4 due to construction WIP. PAX ACFT vacates WEST, FRTR ACFT vacates EAST.

SPEED CONTROL
  • MAX 250 KTS at or below 10,000 FT.
  • STAR RESTRICTIONS: Mandatory. Refer to Nav Chart.
  • When arriving traffic is being sequenced under radar vector, ATC will apply the following speed control :
    • Initial approach phase : 210 kt IAS
    • Base leg/HDG to final approach : 180 kt IAS
    • When established on final approach : 180 kt to 160 kt IAS
    • Thereafter to 5 DME : 160 kt IAS
ALTERNATES
  • PRIMARY ALTERNATE: Gimpo Intl. (RKSS/GMP) for all aircraft types. 17 NM from the aerodrome. Curfew affected 14z~21z.
  • SECONDARY ALTERNATE: Cheongju Intl. (RKTU/CJJ) for all aircraft types. 67 NM from the aerodrome.
DEPARTURES
PREFLIGHT
  • Pilot shall contact INCHEON DELIVERY from TOBT (Target Off Block Time) -10 minutes to +5 minutes and report the following information. If initial call takes to place too early, Clearance Delivery might ask the pilot to call again at TOBT -10 minutes when traffic load do not permit early departure.
    1. Aircraft identification
    2. Destination
    3. Gate or stand number
    4. ATIS code
ATC COMMUNICATIONS
  • DATALINK DEPARTURE CLEARANCE SERVICE (“DCL”): In cases where ATC clearance is received via DCL, Pilot should follow restrictions in the remarks of ATC Clearance and acknowledge them within 5 minutes.
EXPECTED RUNWAY
  • RWY 34R / 16L
    • If in case of scenery with no RWY 34L/16R, select the SID of RWY 34R/16L in FMC and take-off on the Runway which is displayed as RWY 34/16 in the simulator scenery.
CAUTION
  • Prohibited Areas:
    • Prohibited Area RK(P)-518W is located within 17 NM northwest.
    • Prohibited Area RK(P)-518 is located within 13 NM northwest-northeast.
NOISE ABATEMENT
  • All departing aircraft should apply ICAO PANS-OPS Volume I Noise Abatetement Take-off Climb Procedures as follows:
    • RWY 33L/R, 34L/R:
      • NADP ONE: Thrust reduction at 1500 ft above aerodrome elevation recommended.
    • RWY 15L/R, 16L/R:
      • NADP ONE: Thrust reduction at 1500 ft above aerodrome elevation recommended.
      • NADP TWO: Acceleration at 1000 ft above aerodrome elevation recommended.
      • For noise abatement and CO2 reduction using a NADP TWO is recommended. If for safety reasons (prevention of bird strike), compliance with the recommended procedure is not possible, NADP ONE may be used
    • NADP: Noise Abatement Departure Procedure
SPEED CONTROL
