A. ATC Training Guide

Welcome to IVAO-East Asia Region Division. Follow this training guide you will find your career path to be a virtual air traffic controller or virtual pilot, or why not BOTH! This guideline will give you a step-by-step training to learn more about aviation, and to earn your honour to be an experienced flyers or ATC in IVAO. So what are you waiting for? B. Student Controller (AS1, AS2, AS3)

1. Install IVAC ATC Client
2. Download IVAC sector file
3. Study the required readings for Basic ATC Theories and skills
4. Login to IVAO Network as Observer to familier with the airspace
5. Login to IVAO Network as ATC for Practical Exercise
6. Pass the IVAO AS3 Theoretical Exam to be promoted to AS3

C. Aerodrome Controller (ADC)

1. Study IVAO books for ADC about Aerodrome Control theories
2. Study Flight Procedures to understand Air Traffic Movement
3. Practice at Tower
4. Pass the IVAO ADC Theoretical Exam
5. Send a request for ADC Practical Exam

Previous rating requirements:

have your Advanced ATC Trainee rating (AS3) and at least 50 hours of logged time on IVAN as an ATC (pilot hours are not taken into account).

D. Approach Controller (APC)

1. Study IVAO books for ADC about Approach Control theories
2. Practice at ATC Simulation session with mentor
3. Pass the IVAO APC Theoretical Exam
4. Send a request for APC Practical Exam

E. Center Controller (ACC)

1. Study IVAO books for ACC about Center Control theories
2. Practice at ATC Simulation session with mentor
3. Pass the IVAO ACC Theoretical Exam
4. Send a request for ACC Practical Exam

F. Senior Controller (SEC)

1. Completed Senior Private Pilot (SPP) Rating
2. Study IVAO books for SEC about Senior Control theories
3. Practice at ATC Simulation session with mentor
4. Pass the IVAO ACC Theoretical Exam
5. Send a request for ACC Practical Exam

Pilot

A. Pilot Training Guide

B. Flying Student (FS1, FS2, FS3)

1. Install IVAP Pilot Client
2. Install MTL
3. Join a Virutal Airline
4. Study all required readings for Basic Aviation Knowledge
5. Learn how to plan a flight and find Charts
6. Fly around IVAO and be familiar with the network
7. Pass the IVAP Theoretical Exam to be promoted to FS3

C. Private Pilot (PP)

1. Study IVAO books for Private Pilot
2. Pass the IVAO PP Theoretical Exam
3. Send a request for PP Practical Exam
4. PP Practical Exam: expect 2 hours for flight planning

Previous rating requirements:

Having your Flying Student 3 rating (FS3) and at least 50 hours of logged time on IVAN as a Pilot.

D. Senior Private Pilot (SPP)

1. Study IVAO books for Senior Private Pilot
2. Practice the IFR procedures and navigate with Navaids
3. Study IFR Flight Procedures
4. Pass the IVAO SPP Theoretical Exam
5. Send a request for SPP Practical Exam
6. SPP Practical Exam: expect 2 hours for flight planning

E. Commercial Pilot (CP)

3. Practice the IFR procedures with FMC unit
4. Pass the IVAO CP Theoretical Exam
5. Send a request for CP Practical Exam
6. CP Practical Exam: expect 2 hours for flight planning

F. Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
